Presidential Election – November 5, 2024

The 2024 Presidential Election will be on Tuesday, November 5. Visit Arlington’s Elections & Voting page for information on where to vote and sample ballots.

Important Deadlines
Voter Registration deadline is Saturday, October 26 at 5 PM.
You can register and vote during early voting hours that day.
Apply for a Mailed Ballot deadline is Tuesday, October 29 at 5 PM.
Official Ballot Drop Boxes can also be used for registration or application forms.

Early Voting
Early Voting hours will be available from Oct 19 – Nov 1 at Town Hall:
Saturday: Oct 19 & Oct 26 – 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Sunday: Oct 20 & Oct 27 – 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Monday: Oct 21 & Oct 28 – 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Tuesday: Oct 22 & Oct 29 – 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Wednesday: Oct 23 & Oct 30 – 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Thursday: Oct 24 & Oct 31 – 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Friday: Oct 25 & Nov 1 – 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Election Day Voting
Polls will be open 7 AM – 8 PM at your precinct.

Vote By Mail
Track My Ballot will let you check the status of your mailed ballot. “Pending” means your application was processed and your ballot will be mailed in October.

Governor’s Council Forum

The League of Women Voters of Newton hosted a forum for the District 3 candidates for Governor’s Council on Thursday, August 15, 2024. The event took place at Newton’s local cable studio (NewTV).

District 3 includes Arlington. The candidates on the ballot for the September 3 primary are Marilyn Petitto Devaney, incumbent, and Mara Dolan, challenger; both are Democrats.
