From the National League:
Every year, we celebrate the power of poll working and encourage everyone to get involved. Serving as a poll worker is one of the most effective ways to support democracy — and you can even get paid to do it.
With the midterm elections less than three months away, many communities are still looking for people to assist with in-person voting. Sign up to be a poll worker today and make a difference in your community!
From Become an Election Worker on the Arlington website:
You must be a registered voter. Students ages 16-17 may also apply to the Town Clerk and complete additional forms through the guidance office at their school.
If you are interested in learning more, please complete the online application. The Town Clerk’s Office will contact you about training. Prior to each election, all election workers will be emailed a link to sign up for specific shifts for the next election. If you would like to be paid, you can complete payroll forms. Many people volunteer their time – it’s up to you and you can change your status later.
